Asphaltene Dissolver & Asphaltene Inhibitor – Black Gold Production

Asphaltene Inhibitor

Asphaltene molecules are present in most liquid oil and gas streams, and can easily be destabilized by a variety of inherent production scenarios. Once destabilized, they may precipitate and partition to the oil/water interface, or adhere to the surfaces of tubing and equipment. These reactions can cause production losses with blocked tubing, reduced production flow and reduced system efficiency. Chemical application is the most perspective method to impact to near well-bore zone and oil field equipment regarding organic precipitation.

Asphaltene Inhibitor

Asphaltene inhibitors are, generally, resinous organic polymers. Their functional groups interact with the asphaltenes in much the same way natural resins keep the asphaltenes dissolved. It is claimed that the strength of the interaction is stronger than with natural resins, keeping the asphaltene dissolved over a broader range of pressure and temperature.
BGP’s  asphaltene inhibitor is recommended to be applied as annulus batch treatment or continuous treatment via capillary string or continuous treatment to the pipelines. Initial application dosage can vary from 150 to 350 ppm.
